About Us
| The current unRestricted Gaming was brought back to life by Team Version 3 in the summer of 2009. Version 3 was created intially by Alex "Twi$T" Patrick, of [iX^] Unit 9, and Scott "Echo" Knight, of MR. Military Response, back in the America's Army version 2.5. Both of these teams became the top clans in 2.5 and felt it was time to move to the later versions of the game. The main thing holding the teams back was the fact that majority of the users were on MAC computers and newer AA versions did not support the MAC system.
The very first combination of the team was called D^, The Disappeared Ones, where iX and MR combined unofficially to be able to play TWL Ladders. As time passed and friendships grew, the two teams decided make things official and become one team and leave 2.5 behind. Majority of the MAC users upgraded to be able to follow the team. The name Version 3 was put in place around 2007, as it was the majority of the people's third official clan. After being told that we would never be able to make achieve any success in the competition scene for later versions, we debuted with a chip on our shoulder and a drive to disprove all naysayers. We practiced and scrimmed the best teams we could find and learned from our early mistakes. We were able to rack up many achievements within that first year and started becoming an recognized team. Yet we were still not satisfied. Our drive and determination was so strong that we grabbed any experience we could. This paid off with a placement in CAL - M in our first season. After concluding our initial CAL - M season, we recruited some of former team-unrestricted's members and, eventually, the majority of the active unR team joined Version 3. The addition of unR members reignited the team's drive and determination, which showed in our second season in CAL - M. We had a impeccable regular season and playoffs, in which we went to the finals with an undefeated record. However, we fell stumbled in the finals, although the finals appearance guaranteed us a CAL - I placement the following season. That was not to be, however, as CAL has shut down operations for the time being. After a few stumbles and experiments, the team formerly known as Version 3 has evolved into the current incarnation of unRestricted Gaming. We still have the same drive and determination as before, and now have our sights on becoming a top multi-gaming organization.
